We originally put a few recipes in our store to suggest different uses for some of our pieces. For example, I use my pie plates all the time for just about everything but pies – layered hot appetizers, quiches, etc. Soon customers wanted the recipes, even if they weren’t buying the pot!
Eventually we had the recipes printed on cards for sale (a set of 12 is $1.50, but they remain free with a pottery purchase!). They proved so popular we do a new set about once a year. These are tried and true recipes – you know, the latest dish making the rounds of church suppers – polled from my 3 sisters, 5 aunts, and many girlfriends who are great cooks. Customers share with us too.
Remember – food tastes better served in handmade pottery!
